Raya's birthday

This was for my daughter's 4th birthday.  I had this Rapunzel cake all drawn out and I couldn't wait to get it started.  Then we took a trip to the Baltimore Aquarium.  And every day after that trip, all she wanted was a 'pink dolphin with a flower' just like she had seen in the gift shop at the aquarium.  There was no changing her mind.  So out went the Rapunzel cake and in was the pink dolphin!  She was very excited to see it and that meant more than anything to me!

So much to do so little time!

I am currently trying to update my blog with all the recent things I have been producing!  Keep checking back for more updates!!!  Including my most recent additions to cupcake flavors!!!!

Hot Wheels!!!

Gift ideas

Instead of getting someone the normal bouquet of flowers that will shrivel up and die after a few days (not to mention getting your allergies set off), get someone a bouquet of Cake Pop flowers instead!  These are preferably made with vanilla since chocolate cake is harder to cover with white chocolate and then decorated with pastel candy corn.

'Half of 70!!!'

A very good friend of mine turned 35.  He loves whoopie pies so that part was easy.  But I wasn't sure what to put on the pie itself.  He kept saying how he was half way to 70 and I got to thinking about how when we were kids we loved to watch the Smurfs.  So naturally, Papa Smurf had to go on the cake, being that he was going to be half of 70!

The infamous fish cake!!!!

The story goes that there once was a little boy who loved to fish and wanted a fish cake for his birthday! The entire bucket is cake.  The fish is made out of Rice Krispie treats.  The end result was amazing and the little boy loved it!

Footballs and Baseballs

Cute little cake pops made into little footballs and baseballs.  Can I say the word cute when it is meant for a man's birthday?  I really thought they were though!

Kacey's Shoes

Kacey's 2 year birthday.  She is obsessed with shoes so it was only fitting to make her birthday cake into a shoe!  Vanilla cake with buttercream frosting.

Easter

More fun with cake pops!  The pink chocolate for the bunnies was a little darker than I would have liked but they still turned out pretty cute!  A little more time consuming than I would have liked but I am still learning the whole chocolate dipping technique.  There is definitely a science to it that I haven't quite mastered but I am getting there!  They seem to be very popular so I am getting lots of practice!!

Pool Balls

I couldn't find all the colors I needed for the sugar coating on top so I had to learn how to make my own.  A fun process that turned out some very cool results!  The numbers are written in food coloring ink on white chocolate melting wafers.

Naughty!

What started out as an innocent forward message, turned into a very fun gag gift for a friend's husband.  This is the end result of the naughty cookies!  I had so much fun designing them.
